Hirji Steps Down As Coinbase President

Coinbase has announced that Asiff Hirji will be stepping down as the president to be replaced by the company’s vice president of business, data and international Emilie Choi.

The news came as a shock to followers of the company due to the recent step downs the company is experiencing. Recall that earlier this month, Chief technology officer Balaji Srinivasan left the firm. Also Dan Romero, who worked as vice president of Coinbase’s international business, left in April. And there are reports of a possible departure of the current vice president of operations and technology, Tina Bhatnagar.

Hirji joined the company in December 2017 and has been praised by the company for the immense experience and contribution he brought to the company.
